Writing about the death of someone is the hardest thing you have to do when you're running a fanzine.
Since The Original Sin has restarted again there are more than enough deaths to be announced.
Somewhere I couldn't believe it when I saw the first announcments on Facebook but something like 30 minutes later, it was confirmed on official sources like NME but Malcolm McLaren died, today 8th April in New York, of cancer it was.
Malcolm was only 64 years old.
Malcolm's career was always a bit a strange one. Being loved or being hated, but you can say what you what about him, not only was he one of the most theatrical figures in rockhistory but he also helped punk surviving.
I mean it was thanks to Malcolm that The Sex Pistols reached a big audience (remember the trip on the Thames doing "God saves the queen") and we all know how many bands were influenced by them.
When Malcolm started his career as a singer, he failed making great albums but his singles were always instant classics...
RIP Malcolm. Respect.
