I got this CD for review but not with any information given.
Just found out that The Naked Man are a duo from France (somewhere from Lyon I guess) who are making something what's been defined by themselves as post-punk.
The big problem over here is just that this CD sounds like some bad compilation as every track is played in a different style and I can't escape the feeling that all they wanna do is trying out different scenes by hoping that some will pick 'em up.
Sometimes they're like Placebo, then it's Devo, opening song "Sometimes" is a pure rip off from "No fun" by The Stooges, at other tracks you're thinking they try to charm the fans from Project Pitchfork or Apoptygma Berzerk and on "Lost & Wanted" you hear something that can be best defined as...Anne Clark!
Is it a bad album then?
A very average one from which the creators better could have made a strong EP from.
Up to the next!
